Because surplus "surprise" boxes often mix whatever's left at closing time, exact contents can vary day to day — which makes allergen labeling more important, not less.
Our approach (planned)
- Partners will be asked to flag common allergens present in a listing (gluten, nuts, dairy, eggs)
- Surprise/mixed boxes will carry a general allergen disclaimer rather than a false guarantee
- Customers with serious allergies should confirm directly with the business before pickup
